He was predeceased by: his parents, Josef Karcher and Katherine Karcher (Bauer). He is survived by: his wife Joanna Karcher (Pratt); his children, Janice Sidun (Paul) of Kent Island, MD, Karen Karcher of Virginia Beach, VA, Nicholas Sidun (Tabitha) of Tallahassee, FL, Melissa Sidun of Sterling, VA, Matthew Sidun of Pittsburgh, Christopher Sidun of Kent Island, MD, Victoria Karcher-Garneau and Alexander Karcher-Garneau of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister Gertrude Foster; and his close friend Alaskan Husky (Denali). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Trinity Parish (3754 Brownsville Rd, Brentwood, PA 15227).
