He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Salvaggio Riggs; his parents, Charles Spurgeon and Ruth Canterbury Riggs; and his siblings, Dorothy Pauley, Maxine Ferguson, Juanita Moore, Carl, Charles, Ralph, Garrett and Bernie Riggs.
He is survived by: his sons, Raymond Peter Riggs (Jan) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Dana Richard Riggs (Hope) of Virginia Beach, VA and Anthony Charles Riggs (Kelsey); his grandchildren, Bethany Joyner, Austin Riggs, Amelia Riggs, Cole Riggs and Alexander Riggs; his great grandchildren, Blakelyn and Brynlee; and his brothers, Pat and Eustace Riggs.
