He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garnet Ferguson and Mary Edith Sprinkle Ferguson; his wife Mary Elizabeth Edmondson; his children, Charles Arthur Ferguson, Jr. and Cindy Lou Merrick; and his brothers, Pete and Gene Ferguson.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie F. Forrester (Jeff) of Wylie Texas; and his sisters, Lorene Smith of Winston Salem and Ramona Murmillo of Virginia Beach.
