Catherine W. Harris Obituary

We bid farewell to Catherine W. Harris (Virginia Beach, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 14, 2025 at the age of 84. Catherine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, George L. Williams and Ellen A. Williams; her husband James C. Harris; her sons, Vincent D. Harris and Bruce F. Harris; and her brothers, Caleb R. Williams and Isaiah E. Williams.

She is survived by: her son Terrence Louis Harris, Sr. (Maria); her siblings, George L. Williams, Jr. (Alice) and Rev. Edmonia W. Brown; her siblings-in-law, Juanita Williams (Alice), Cora Basnight (Charlie), Margaret Spence, Martha Harris, Annie J. Harris and Rev. George Munden; her mother-in-law Renee Harris; and her daughter-in-law Gwendolyn Harris. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church (4636 Indian River Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
