He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Beck and Ella Beck; and his son Richard Beck. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Beck; his sister Tina Hall (Tom); his children, Carl F. Beck, James Beck and Laurie Beck; his stepchildren, Brian Kahan (Lisa), Pam Smith (Paul), Zachary Parks, Lydia Pugh (Patrick), Jacob Parks and Carter Parks; his grandchildren, John, Everett, Matt, Kristopher, Samantha, Tori, Jillian, Lukas, Zenobia, Zara, Patrick, Flip and Thomas; and his friend John Reese.
