She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Thomas Shotwell and Maude Tuck Shotwell; her son Donald Wayne Rogers; her siblings, Irene Pulliam, Gracie Paul, Helen Tuck, Christine Solomon, James Edward, Elmer Earl, Kenneth Thomas, Robert Lindy, Clarence Huel and Stanley; and her husband Franklin Armstead Ford.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brian Lee Rogers of Charlotte, NC and Sabrina Rogers Gilliam of South Boston, VA; her grandson-in-law Greg Matthew Gilliam; her great grandchild Grant Matthew Gilliam of South Boston, VA; her goddaughter Debbie DeMuth; and her friends, Franklin Rachol of High Point, NC and Chris Fuller of Charlotte, NC..
