It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Sawyer (Virgilina, Virginia), who passed away on June 1, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Tommy Sawyer; his wife Arcell Sawyer; his children, Kelly Thrower (Scott) and Shea Sawyer (Denise); his grandchildren, Ashley Sawyer, Michael Sawyer and Kristin Thrower; and his sisters, Carolyn Oakley and Larue Borland. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Charles Sawyer to the Duke Cancer Institute to support research for metastatic brain cancer research.
