He was predeceased by: his parents, Corbett Lawrence Mitchell and Eva Franklin Mitchell; his wife Ada Mae Wilkerson Mitchell; and his siblings, Clyde Mitchell and Ethel Bolling.
He is survived by: his sons, Micah D. Mitchell (Donna) and Glenn D. Mitchell; his grandchildren, Jeremy Mitchell (Kayla) and Whitney Brown (Brad); and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Bryson and Ainsley. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
