He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest and Martha; and his sister Jackie. He is survived by: his wife Joan Adams; his children, Jeff (Connie), Kevin (Erin), Mel (Charlie), Evone (Steve), Tammy (Mike) and Candy; his siblings, Patty, Richy and Johnny; and his close friends, Cindy and Jeff.
