He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sr. McCarty and Lelia McCarty; and his siblings, Beverly Leon McCarty (Bev), Marvin Glen McCarty (Boot), Wendell Ray McCarty (Winky) and Mary Lou Hannabass.
He is survived by: his wife Jerry Fudge McCarty; his grandsons, Andrew Cochran (Brooke), Hunter Trivellin (Heather), Coty Trivellin (Meghan) and Tanner Trivellin (Kelsey); his great grandchildren, Forrest, Silas Trivellin, Maggie, Mack Trivellin, Kaiden and Kyson Trivellin; his sister Peggy Ann Smith; his close friends, Kathy Barber, Famiy, John Bobbit, Sally and George Pahl, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Skylynn Trivellin, Liam Garland, Lucas and Landon Cochran.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vinton rescue squad.
