He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Watson Sr. and Edythe Houston Swartz Watson; his wife Wilma Eileen Musselman Watson; his sons, Robert A. Watson Sr. and Andrew W. Watson; his son-in-law Robert K. Kennedy; and his sisters, Eleanor W. Bryant, Lois W. Skinnell and Frances W. Peters.
He is survived by: his daughters, Harriet W. Kennedy and Anita W. Lumsden (Joey Ogle); his stepdaughter Deborah Welch Hans (Steve); his grandchildren, Vicki K. Whitley (Jeff), Lisa A Davis, Robert A. Watson, Jr. (Molly), Doug R. Kennedy (Kristy), Krystal L. Turner (Kevin) and Andrew Lumsden; and his sister Virginia Magee (William). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren.
