He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Randolph Patsel and Katherine Agnor Patsel; and his siblings, Barbara Patsel, Joann Jacobs and Gary Patsel.
He is survived by: his caregiver Shirley Mae Patsel; his children, Douglas Patsel (Eleanor Patsel), Karen Merrill (Mike Merrill) and Melinda Ridgeway (Josh Ridgeway); his grandchildren, Jordan Inman (Caleb), Logan Merrill (Julia) and Hadley-Mae Ridgeway; and his great grandchild Nolan Inman.
