It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wesley Scruggs of Vinton, Virginia, who passed away on October 25, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Scruggs and Virginia Scruggs; and his siblings, Ruth Powell, Eddie and Bobby Scruggs.

He is survived by: his wife Dianne Hollins Scruggs; his sons, Stephen Scruggs (Carol) and Kenneth Scruggs (Mary); his grandchildren, Stephanie McManus (Michael), Pamela Scruggs, Wesley Scruggs, Emily Scruggs, Joy Scruggs, Andrea Scruggs, Joshua Scruggs (Katie) and Julia Rolston (Cody); his great grandchildren, Timothy and Peter McManus; his sister Mary Minnix; and his sister-in-law Jackie Scruggs Taylor (Glenn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Barnhardt Baptist Church Scholarship fund.
