He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Stover and Maggie Stover; his siblings, James Stover and Joyce Giambolvo; and his grandson Matthew Stover.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jo Cauley Stover; his children, Melissa Stover Michalski and Jonathan Stover (Erin); his grandchildren, Avary and Aislyn Michalski; and his siblings, Smokey Stover, Gloria Barker and Sue Gillenwater.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to William Byrd High School for a future scholarship fund.
