She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Elizabeth and Walter Grubb; her former husband William Coley; her husband Richard Akers; and her son Charles Coley.

She is survived by: her siblings, Josephine Newberry, Joyce Thacker, Barbara Young and Charles Grubb; her children, Sherry Coley, Kenny (Renee Coley), Karen St. Clair and Alice (Jim Maguire); and her stepchildren, Susan, George Pruner, Eric and Teresea Akers. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and many wonderful great grandchildren.
