She is survived by: her husband Walter "Buddy" Thurman; her children, John Thurman (Ginny) of Roanoke and Joanie Williams (Jason) of Angier, NC; her grandchildren, Stephen Fitzgerald (Abbie) of Winchester, James Fitzgerald of Roanoke, Joy Kate, Nora and Lacey Willams of Angier, NC.; her brother Roger Williams (Melissa) of Dublin; and her stepbrother Duane Hix of Pulaski. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
