She was predeceased by: her parents, Phyllis Jean Suhl Hughes and Glen Merle Hughes. She is survived by: her spouse Deborah S. Sampson of Goodview, VA.; and her siblings, Donald L Hughes (Peggy), Roger A. Hughes (Karen), Keith M. Hughes (Susan), Paul E. Hughes (Jodi) and Betty Jo Spellman of Sullivan, IL. She is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
