It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Matthew Myers (Vinton, Virginia), born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on June 16, 2019, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Karen Sue Lawson Hefner and Gary James Myers; his grandmother Mary Dudley Myers; his aunts, Debra Myers Singleton and Sheila L. Taylor; his daughter Lilian; his cousin Lillian; and his pet Maverick.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James' name to a local animal shelter or a charity of your choice.
