He is survived by: his wife Sandy Altis; his daughter Melissa Haga (Dave); his stepdaughter Shae Prusak (Russell); his stepgrandsons, Bryson Prusak and Weston Prusak; his mother Betty Altis; his sister Lisa Altis; his significant other Jerry Fairchild; his mother-in-law Betty Bernard; his aunts, Lois Hinchee, Peggy Hartsook (Eddy) and Patsy Divers; his niece Emily Allen (Shayne); his great-nieces, Kendall, Penelope and Gwin Willie; and his great-nephew Silas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Roanoke Valley SPCA.
