She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Kerns and Mabel Callaway Kerns; her former husband Larry Payne, Sr.; her husband Jim Vandiver; her son Robbie Joe Payne; and her siblings, Charlie Kerns, Patsy Kerns, Denzel Kerns, Billy Kerns, Karl Kerns, Harry Kerns, Tommy Kerns, Eddie Kerns and Christine Kerns.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Payne, Katina Lane, Treyvon Abston and Larry Payne, Jr.; and her siblings, Chester Kerns, Jimmy Kerns, Freddie Kerns, Dorothy Schliechert, Bobbie Powers and Robert Kerns. She is also survived by four grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
