The passing of Evelyn Welsh of Vinton, Virginia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 84. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Belcher and Bessie Belcher; and her siblings, Paul "Price" Belcher, Irvin Belcher, Richard Belcher, Michael Belcher and Betty Noble.
She is survived by: her husband Gordon Welsh; her daughters, Jeanne Wohlford (Steve) and Cindy Welsh (Judy Taylor); her grandchildren, Justin Wohlford (Meg) and Megan Meza (Gabriel); her great grandchildren, Tyson, Lennon Wohlford, Parker and Blaire Meza; and her sisters, Barbara Karnes, Marietta Meador and Juanita Barbour. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Flowers will be appreciated or in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Vinton Baptist Church.
