With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elery Elizabeth Shrewsbury (Vinton, Virginia), who passed away on November 21, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Felix Shrewsbury; her son Michael Ray Shrewsbury; her parents, George Wilson Moles and Lillian Motley Moles; and her siblings, Bernard Alfred Moles, Aubrey Wilson Moles, Edward Thomas Moles, Alvin Keith Moles, Dorothy Moles McManaway, Aurelia Moles Tate, Ruby Moles Franklin and Mary Moles Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Stevens Smith (Bill), Rita Shrewsbury Doss (Dale) of Winston-Salem, N. C., Allan Shrewsbury and Betty Gail Smith (Roger); her daughter-in-law Regina Wheeler Shrewsbury; her siblings, George Walker Moles (Lavonia) and Rachel Moles Saunders; and her friend Jane Martin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family invites friends to make contributions to the Music Ministry of Beaverdam Baptist Church or to the Stewartsville/Chamblissburg Rescue Squad.
