He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Haldren and Laura Haldren; his stepmother Elva Haldren; and his sister Nancy Webber. He is survived by: his wife Annie Stevens Haldren; his children, Steven D. Haldren and Lisa Haldren; his grandchildren, Blake Haldren, Danielle Haldren and Haley Lawson; and his brothers, Harold Haldren (Louise) and Leon Holdren.

In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to be made to Carilion Hospice.
