It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Scott (Vinton, Virginia), born in Rural Retreat, Virginia, who passed away on June 4, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosie Grubb and Ralph Grubb; her husband Walter E. Scott, Sr.; her son Charles D. Scott; her sister Vivian Hale; and her son-in-law Bill McCray.

She is survived by: her children, Walter E. Scott, Jr. (Theresa), Judy McCray, Barbara Hodges and Rebecca Clause (Terry). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
