She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Bobby Thurman; her parents, Henry Solly Clarence Parker and Lady Belle Cundiff Parker; and her brother Henry Tribble Parker. She is survived by: her daughters, Ricki Hartman (Ross), Sue Nixon and Sandra Lewis; her sister Judy Ralph (Tom); her sister-in-law Irene Parker; and her grandchildren, Laurie Otey-Williams, Christy Miller, Jason Hartman, David Hess, Tracy Andrews, Jon Ross Hartman and Lee Nixon. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
