She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gurney Evans and Verna Lloyd Evans; her husband Jasper "Pete" Calvin Edwards, Sr.; and her brothers, Norfleet Evans and James Evans.
She is survived by: her son Jasper "Jay" Calvin Edwards, Jr. (Melissa) of Vinton; her siblings, Norman "Buddy" Evans and Catherine Chapman of Roanoke; and her sister-in-law Jean Midkiff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
