She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Peebles and Marie Adams Reed. She is survived by: her husband Vernon M. Dowless; her son Lee Dowless (Gretchen); her grandchildren, Andrew Dowless, Alyssa Dowless and Carson Hall; her stepfather Glen O. Reed; her sisters, Diane Zeigler and Cindy Johnson; and her close friends, Gaye Shepherd and Angela Queen. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
