He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey A. Gray and Ruth M. Simmons Gray; his wife Patricia Jean Gamble Gray; and his siblings, Gary Gray, Joyce, Margaret and Molly.
He is survived by: his children, Ashley Gray, James Meeker, Jr. (Kim), Harry Meeker (Jenn), Patricia Herder and Hope Harris; and his brother David Gray (Diane). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Lotz Funeral Home (305 E Washington Ave, Vinton, VA 24179). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
