It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Cecil Townsend of Vienna, Virginia, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 6, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Townsend and Thelma Townsend; his wife Penny; and his son C. J. Townsend. He is survived by: his children, Andrew Townsend of Alexandria, VA and Nancy Townsend of South Riding, VA; and his grandchildren, Kelsey, Liam and Sean.

Due to the pandemic, services will be postponed until a later date.
