She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hopkinson and Dorothy Daly Hopkinson; and her husband William B. Sutherland. She is survived by: her nephews, Tonio DeSorrento (Amelia DeSorrento), Adriano DeSorrento and Christiano DeSorrento (Victoria DeSorrento); her niece Kathryn Cody (Edward Cody); her great-nieces, Ava DeSorrento, Gigi DeSorrento, Margot DeSorrento and Liliana DeSorrento; and her nephews, Ben DeSorrento, Emilio DeSorrento, Tiago DeSorrento and Luciano DeSorrento.
