Robert Arthur Harkness Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Arthur Harkness (Vienna, Virginia), who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Harkness (Bill) and Dorothy Harkness (Tiny); his wife Betty Beach Harkness; and his children, David Harkness (Sarilynn), Kathrynn Harkness Adams (Dan), Michael (Shirley), Richard and Thomas. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid restrictions, only a graveside service at Fairfax City Cemetery will be held for family members on Wednesday, December 30th at 1:00 PM.
