Ralph Franklin Connolly Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2020, at the age of 91, Ralph Franklin Connolly (Vienna, Virginia), born in Ames, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Thomas and Katherine May Connolly (Ball); his wife Connie; his children, Kevin Connolly (Yona) of Colorado Springs, CO, Barry (Linda Connolly), Mark (Priscilla Connolly) and Mary Connolly Overton (Ken); his grandchildren, Diana, Sean, Barry, Jr., Troy, Brent Connolly, Michelle Connolly Walker and Dajon; his great grandchild Gabriel Walker; his sister Janet Connolly Volpe of Pacheco, CA; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Finkle of Red Hook, NY and Sandra Pearson of Kingston, NY. He was also cherished by many nephews and nieces.

There will be no funeral because of COVID-19 but a memorial service is planned for a later date, probably in the spring.

Ralph will be remembered for his Irish wit and humor; his tenacity; his love for the children in the Shrine hospitals, to his mind, the best charity on earth; for his honesty, generous spirit and sense of duty.; and his desire to lead.
