He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elena Riestra King of Vienna, VA.; his parents, Kenneth King and Agnes Higman King; his children, Kenneth of Sterling, VA and Sharon of Leesburg, VA; his siblings, Mark King (Mary) of Glemore and Pat Vandersall (John) of Silver Spring, MD.; his stepson José Padrón (Dana); his stepgrandchildren, Mohamad Sidibay and Ally Padrón; his stepson Ricardo Padrón (Zoë); and his daughter Teresa Padrón.
He worked for many years as a combustion scientist at Atlantic Research Corporation and the National Science Foundation.
