She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Crowder and Ann Crowder; her husband John; her children, Vicki, Stephen B. Shapbell (Brenda), Debbie Butherus (Bob) and Lisa Grant (Dave); her son-in-law John Monroe; and her grandchildren, Lauren, Sara, Brett, Kyle, Lacey, Kelly, David and Eva. She was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
