He was predeceased by: his father Lauman Robinson; and his brother Wilfred Everett "Bo" Robinson. He is survived by: his children, Cordelia Willard of Toledo, OH, Lisa Robinson of Charleston, WV, Carl Robinson of Richmond, VA, Corey of Richmond, VA and Eric Robinson of Richmond, VA; and his siblings, Wilma Robinson of New York City, Norma Jean Robinson of New York City, Jerry of Fort Mitchell, VA and Roscoe Robinson of Fort Mitchell, VA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
