He was predeceased by: his parents, Rommie D. Glasscock and Martha C. Glasscock; his siblings, William Edward Glasscock and Lucile G. Cristo; and his spouse Emily Bomar Glasscock.

He is survived by: his children, Mechelle G. Stone and R. D. "Chip" Glaasscock, III (April); his grandchildren, Sarah Meghan Pearce, Lindsey Caitlyn Glasscock and Zachary Daniel Glasscock; and his great grandchild Elijah Jordan Pearce.
