She was predeceased by: her father Wortha Bowman; and her husband Willie "Billy" Claiborne Overton. She is survived by: her son Gary (Rebecca) of Greensboro, NC; her grandchildren, Amy Overton and Andrew Overton; and her sister Leona Hazlewood of Kenbridge, VA.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
