She is survived by: her husband Ollie W. Holmes; her children, Kenneth (Alicia), Lonnie (Ethel), Mary Spencer-Nixon, Wesley (Evelyn), John (Sharon) and James; her grandchildren, Keith, Keevin (Teauna), Keisha Spencer-Dixon (Ricki), Christopher, Bryan, Monec, Bridgit Chapman (Bryant), Kendrick, Wesley (Alexandria), Deshawn, Candace, Robert Nixon (Nidya), William Nixon, Tara Marino (Pat) and Tiffany Howard; her brother Bishop Thomas H. Bell (Sherry); her cousin Doreen Mott; her aunt Mary E. McKay; and her sisters-in-law, Celestine Spencer, Vernell Denard, Adell Chaffin (Sam), Lena Knight and Dorothy Scott. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the S. P. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel (208 N Broad St, Kenbridge, VA 23944). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Oak Baptist Church (807 Pleasant Oak Rd, Victoria, VA 23974). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Pleasant Oak Baptist Church Cemetery (807 Pleasant Oak Rd, Victoria, VA 23974).
