With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margie Payne (Victoria, Virginia), who passed away on September 12, 2018 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Fred Gillespie; her husband Dewey Payne; her brother Bill Gillespie; and her friend Mabel Price. She is survived by: her parent Dorothy Gillespie; her sons, Joe Payne (Brenda), James Payne (Marty) and John Payne (Diana); her grandchildren, Bart Payne, Kelly Cadle, Chrystal Starke and Ashley Morris; her stepgrandchildren, Sheree Flynn, Mary Beth Thomas and Matthew Moss; her sister Shirley Treadway of Marshall, N. C.; and her friends, Ann Kyle and Tex Price. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church or Faith Baptist Church.
