She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Clarence Ramsey, Sr.; and her parents, Buford Milton Nelson and Dorothy Davidson Nelson. She is survived by: her children, L. Dare Simmons, Stephen Hankins (Christine) and Anthony Hankins (Paula); her grandsons, Ethan Hankins, Brent Hankins and Nathan Hankins; and her sisters, Virginia "Kitty" Dunn (Hugh) and Joy Davis.
