He is survived by: his wife Joanne Wilkins Childress; his sons, David Childress of Victoria and Brian Childress (Marybel) of Huntsville, Alabama; his grandchildren, Noah Childress, Liam Childress and Harper Childress; and his siblings, Doris St. Clair of Lunenburg, Jerry Childress (Shirley) of South Hill and Edward Childress (Linda) of Blackstone. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
