He was predeceased by: his parents, Fletcher J. King and Virginia S. King; and his brother Melvin W. King. He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy L. Hill (Richard) of South Carolina, Iris K. Davis of Appomattox, George C. King of Victoria, Roger L King (Debbie) of Callao Va and Myles E. King (Barbara) of Appomattox; and his nephews, Joseph Michael and Stephen Layne. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
