He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Franklin Childers and Cora Lee Caines Childers; his wife Nancy Lee Bigger Childers; his grandson Jesse Hunton Childers; and his brother Harold Franklin Childers.
He is survived by: his son C. Stephen; his daughter-in-law Dawn Childers of Victoria, VA; his grandsons, Matthew Childers and Jackson Childers of Victoria, VA; his sister Janice Naugle (Buddy) of Blackstone, VA; and his close friend Mable Gay. He is also survived by many close friends and family members.
Due to Covid-19 a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
