Ray Walton Wright Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Walton Wright Sr. of Verona, Virginia, who passed away on January 5, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenva Cecil Wright and Antha Mae Wright (Stogdale); his wife Clara Belle Wright (Kennedy); his son-in-law Kenneth Hansell; and his siblings, Antha Bright and Dallas Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Ray W. "Chip" Wright, Jr. (Jane Ann) of Staunton, Thomas L. Wright (Rebecca Sue) of Verona, Cynthia D. Hansell of Staunton and Stephen K. Wright (Alexandria L.) of Fort Defiance; his sister Marion Lucille Clark of Woodstock; his grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, Daniel Wright, Kalise Wright, Victoria Karicofe, Katelyn Thomas, Gregory Wright, Brian Wright, Andrea Wright, Aaron Wright, Olivia Wright and Carson Wright; and his great grandchildren, Zachary and Joanna Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The CDC recommends that those who have been exposed to COVID-19 wear a mask after any required quarantine period.
