He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Thatcher, Sr. and Louise Sutton Thatcher; and his sister Cathy. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn B. Thatcher; his children, James Thatcher (Barbara) of Pennsylvania, Lester Thatcher III (Leslie) of Pennsylvania, Catherine Thatcher of New Jersey, William Thatcher (Debbie) of Virginia and Angela Grove (Jeffery) of Virginia; his stepdaughter Sarah Pannozzo of Virginia; his sisters, Shirley and Susan; and his cousin Gerri (Pete Huryk). He is also survived by his seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
