He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Mauzy and Nola Blanch Mauzy (Harper); his former wife Carolyn Jean Hooke; his siblings, William Mauzy and Charlotte Ritchie; his brother-in-law Robert Ritchie; his sister Betty Jean Mauzy; and his son-in-law Matt Flick.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mauzy of Verona; his children, Todd Mauzy (Carola) of Bethesda, MD, Penny Shiflet (Eric) of Swoope and Cassie Alger (Jed) of Stuarts Draft; his siblings, Mike Mauzy (Vickie) of Hightown and Julia Ann Evick (Richard) of Harrisonburg; and his grandchildren, Patrick, Alejandro, Jonathan, Santiago, Scott, Ryan, Wil and Tyler.
