He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard T. Reece and Mabel Reece Hoover (Jefferies); his brothers, U. D. Reece and C. P. Reece, Sr.; his nephew Kenneth Reece; and his niece Ann Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Reece (McCray) of Verona; his siblings-in-law, Frances Reece and R. G. McCray (Jennie); his niece Cindy Reece Jordan; his nephews, C. P. "Phil" Reece, Jr. (Debbie), Bruce Reece and Stacy (Anita McCray); and his close friends, Pete, Kathy, Kit Painter, John, Faye Sellers, Earl, Frank and Judy Marks. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and a great-great nephew.
