He is survived by: his daughters, Regina LaToya Chavis (Curvey) and Nicole Chavis Hamilton (Eric); his grandchildren, Raegan Bell, Devin Bell, Dylan Thompson and Brandon Hamilton; his great grandchildren, Kamila and Kamani; his nieces and nephews, Debbie Moore (Marcellus), Charles "Chuckie" Chavis (Toni), Lynda "Jackie" Pierce Broadnax (Howard) and Douglas Wayne Pierce (Laquitta); his cousin Wanda Ashe Tyler (Charles); and his nephews, Milton T. Pierce and Donald D. Pierce. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
