With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cecile Marie (Fitzgerald) Cason of Verona, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Ken Austin Cason, Sr.; her parents, Roy Austin Fitzgerald and Claudine Fitzgerald (Thompson); her daughter Anna Brooker; and her brothers, Sonny Fitzgerald, Lyle Fitzgerald and Benny Fitzgerald.
She is survived by: her children, Ken Austin Cason, Jr. (Donna) of Verona and Teresa Cason of Seaford, Delaware; her son-in-law C. J. Brooker of New Bern; her grandchildren, Laura C. Spicer (James "Caleb"), Steven A. Cason (Polly), Christina A. Foote (Trevor), Leah M. Flowers (Sean) and Daniel J. Brooker (Catherine); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Emma, Carter, Taylor, Tristian, Madelyn, Corbin and Charlotte; and her siblings, Mack Fitzgerald of Tennessee, Sharon Miller of Crimora, Betty Fitzgerald of Verona and Shirley Fitzgerald of Verona.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Augusta Memorial Park (1775 Old Goose Crk Rd, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
