He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ray and Merchie Marie Pennington (Rhymer); and his brother-in-law Frank Faehner. He is survived by: his son Troy Alan Pennington (Terri) of New Bern, NC; his sister Joy K. Faehner of Brinklow, MD.; and his grandchildren, Reed Pennington, Bethany Johnson, Madison Cooper, Jamie Winfield and Anna Winfield.
